I agree, even the author aludes to this when refering to trials and how to cancel them. (text in parenthesis added by me)

> One day before removal, we had 1209 active trials. (money in our pockets)

> [...] established a help center with articles on canceling trials (cause we have a UI team dedicated on making it complicated)

Cancelling anything on an Apple device cannot possibly be complicated. It’s a single screen in settings, and there’s nothing app developers can do to mess with that.

Well, in the next hour, a journalist is going to get banned, a campaign will come up to get them unbanned, and Twitter will change the rule. We'll be fine.

More likely is Elon will post something that gives someone's location away and then they'll adjust it.

why adjust when they can just enforce the rules subjectively at will

I think because appearances matter. Not only does he want to enforce his will, he wants to do it in such a way that he comes off looking good.

"this is fine"

Do your thing, use your free time and don't expect anything.

Not only bots are ruining Instagram, their algorithm showing you posts from 3 days ago and an ad every 8-10 pictures is a killer, pretty much forcing me to only see stories.

"Oh let me show you this picture that you missed 4 days ago when we where showing you pictures that are 8 days old."

The future is trackable by them.

Do you really think the government is trying to protect humans and not their self interests?

> when is someone dead?, how long until release of secrets?

After the recurring payments stop coming through?

Unfortunately that is too simple. These are secrets. People forget to update credit cards in sites all the time and you're going to immediately shoot an email off on a failed CC transaction or when you cancel a credit card hastily? An email containing secrets?

There's a lot that can go wrong that has to be thought up before-hand and debugging in production for this type of service is completely unacceptable.

Why would you be embarrassed about something you do? It's your reality.

By that reasoning nobody should ever be embarrassed about anything. And that is definitely not a good representation of reality.

Wow, you never use other peoples views of you as a wake up call for self-improvement? Jesus, I can't imagine how lazy and disgusting your are.

Seriously though, there's plenty reason.

Keyword: early. Those employees were also risking by joining a new company.
