I use a GoPro Hero Session on a motorcycle helmet mount and it's perfect. I bought it nearly 10 years ago. Still works great!

But when you accidentally typed into the prompt field and hit enter it registered a daily active user metric so the feature must be a hit!

Seems like today's more-work-less-pay model also leads to inflation, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

The thing being hinted at is there is an already an English term to describe the notion of the value of a unit of something decreasing over time, which is “inflation”. Not causation, just definition.

This is confused. Less work for same pay means each unit of work is more valuable, in other words deflation.

"Signing off" doesn't exist because even after the thing is in a MVP stage the stakeholders will still want to change it

Not comparable because custom elements don't handle rerenders elegantly without extra plumbing.

Nobody is getting rewarded for reinventing the wheel.

I don't mind if they use nodejs for this, but the Ink/React stuff is annoying. It wastes space and even makes it hard to copy-paste. Wish it could open a few pipes for raw in/out as an alternative.

This is what happens when your engineering company is run by warring factions of tech illiterate business people rather than engineers.

The new goal is to flood the Internet with so much junk that human-created content can be sold back to us in a walled garden.

But then how will all of the know-nothing management types get their fingers in the pie?

All that matters is some MBA product manager at Google was celebrated for shipping this. Hooray!

Everyone who implemented or approved this should be prosecuted under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030). If I was on a jury, I wouldn't hesitate to send them to prison where they belong.

A fair and impartial jury is a fundamental part of freedom. I genuinely cannot believe that we have been reduced to wanting to destroy the jury system to punish companies we don’t agree with. At this point, this is less activism and more weaponized disrespect for fundamental freedoms.

What is the principle you’re using here?
