Are you suggesting users start emailing you directly when they find such stories? Is that really practical or scalable?

Also, doesn't having to run stories past a gatekeeper go against the community rating system that HN is based on?

I don't see administrator interference in story titles as particularly critical to the site, but community voting on stories is.

Is there maybe some way to experiment with leaving story titles unchanged from how they were submitted? What would happen if HN tried that for a week?
