Vultures are mainly carrion-eaters, scavengers.

Hyenas mainly hunt actively, often in coordinated groups, and not just for the weakest animals.

Opus being a healthy codec, and the attempt at a coordinated attack make the hyena analogy seems more appropriate, to me at least.
