This is the best feature by far and it didn't really occur to me in advance what a game changer it is. You can instantly jump into a game that usually takes 5 minutes to start up while waiting for the kettle to boil or during an ad break. I wouldn't ever buy a handheld that didn't have this.

As a parent of three kids (youngest is 6 months, got the Deck when she was 1 month) this is the standout feature that allows me to game at all.
